StreamAnalyst generates advanced statistics for Icecast and Icecast-kh servers.
Icecast is a free (GNU GPL license) streaming server software for audio streaming. It was originally released in 1999. It is currently developed by the Xiph.org Foundation. Icecast-kh is a separate independent development by Karl Heyes, adding extra features to the Xiph.Org release.
Several versions of Icecast and Icecast-kh are in use today. StreamAnalyst supports all versions of Icecast and Icecast-kh. Icecast servers automatically generate log files to record the server activity. The Icecast log format is based on the Apache combined log format with an extra field. StreamAnalyst parses these log files and creates detailed reports.
With StreamAnalyst, you don’t need to make any changes or install any script on your Icecast server. You get advanced statistics (concurrent connections with peaks and minima, active sessions, new sessions, average number of listeners, unique listeners, players, time spent, countries, cities and more).
You can also compare the audience of any day/week/month with the audience of a previous time period. You get a detailed view of the evolution of your audience and you can make changes in your audio contents, in your website, in your ads to further grow the audience of your station.
Reports according to international standards like AQH, CUME, OJD 30 seconds,… can be generated by StreamAnalyst.
Many Icecast Internet radios use more than one stream. Their audio contents is encoded in several audio formats and at different bit rates. StreamAnalyst allows you to analyze each format and bit rate separately or to combine the data as you want.
The “Save as CSV” button allows you to import all statistics in Excel or in business intelligence software.
StreamAnalyst is compatible with all popular streaming server technologies: the same StreamAnalyst stats can be used with Icecast and with your other streaming servers.
StreamAnalyst is designed to be compatible with Android smartphone, with iPhone, with your tablet and with your PC or Mac.
