Common Log File Names
Your log file name depends on your streaming server. Most streaming servers let you customize the log file name, but most system owners don't do that.
- Here are common log file names for the current log file:
- SHOUtcast: sc_serv.log or sc_w3c.log
- Icecast: access.log
- Wowza: wowzastreamingengine_access.log
- Here are common log file names for archived log files:
- SHOUtcast: sc_serv_1.log, sc_serv_2.log,... or "sc_w3c.log." followed by a large number
- Icecast: access.log.1.gz, access.log.2.gz,... or access.log.20161121_113904.zip (ie. "access.log." followed by a date/time code and ended by ".zip")
- Wowza: wowzastreamingengine_access.log.2017-02-11 (ie. "wowzastreamingengine_access.log." followed by a date)
- Cloudfront: E1FO7HM3EQ1HG0.2016-12-01-15.83ea5e3a.gz (ie. a combination of uppercase letters and numbers followed by a dot, then a date, then again a dot followed by a combination of lowercase letters and numbers and ended by ".gz")
